Arthur Hulf - Soloist I

Born in Santa Catarina, he studied with important names in the world music scene such as Chaim Taub (Israel), Nicolas Chumachenko (Germany), Cecília Guida (Argentina - Brazil), Paulo Bosisio (Brazil) and Cláudio Cruz (Brazil). At UNICAMP, he studied Regency. He was assistant conductor of the Campinas Symphony Orchestra in 2003 and 2004, being also in charge of the Unicamp Symphony Orchestra in several concerts. In 2006 he was Assistant Conductor of the Ribeirão Preto Symphony Orchestra. In 2005 he founded the Brazilian Philharmonic, of which he is Principal Conductor and Artistic Director. He has been a concertmaster at the Campinas Symphonic since 2001, and at the Unicamp Symphony since 1998. He was guest speaker in other orchestras such as Philharmonic of São Caetano and Symphonic Orchestra of the Teatro Nacional de Brasília. As a soloist, he performed with the Americana Symphony, Unicamp Symphony and Campinas Symphony. His career also includes working with the Quarteto Darcos, with which he won several awards, recorded a cd of Carlos Gomes' chamber music, and toured in Argentina, Mexico and the USA. He is a permanent guest at OSESP (São Paulo State Symphony Orchestra), where he performed several concerts, recordings, and tours EUA (2009), and Europ (2010). In 2010, he founded the group ArsBrasil, focused on Brazilian chamber music, with which he released on cd the triple album “Henrique Oswald – Música de Câmara”, already a critical success, under the sponsorship of Petrobrás. In the same year, he performed the group's first Brazilian tour.
